Vailankanni  Ward Feast - 2025

05 Oct 2025:  Vailankanni  ward joyfully celebrated the Ward Feast dedicated to Mother of Vailankanni on 5th October 2025 with deep devotion and unity. The programme began with a prayer dance invoking God’s blessings, creating a spiritual atmosphere. This was followed by a community action song, where all the members joined together in singing, expressing faith and togetherness.

The gathering was formally welcomed by Mr. Richard Dsouza, the Gurkar. The annual report of the ward was read by Ms. Lishal, the secretary of the ward.The formal programme commenced with the presence of the Chief Guest, Most Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto, along with the respected Convent Sisters Sr.Philomena and Dr. Sr. Rekha, community  Coordinator  Mr. Thomas,Vice President of the Parish Council, Mr. Arun, the parish Secretary Mrs.Jyothi, and the Ayog Coordinator Mr. Dolphy D’Souza.Gurkars from neighboring wards also participated, adding grace to the celebration.

In his message, Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto emphasized the importance of faith, unity, and service to one another. He encouraged the ward members to stay rooted in prayer and to continue growing as a loving and supportive community under the guidance of Mother Mary.

The cultural programme added color and joy to the feast, with beautiful dances by children, youth, and ladies of the ward. Children’s group singing delighted the audience, and spot games brought fun and laughter to everyone.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Flavitha, acknowledging all who contributed to the successful celebration. The event was gracefully anchored by Ms. Vinitha. The day came to a warm close as all gathered together for a community dinner, sharing fellowship and joy.
