CATECHISM DAY CELEBRATION - Feb 2025

ST SEBASTIAN CHURCH, PERMANNUR

The Annual Catechism Day was meaningfully celebrated on 23rd February, Sunday with the Eucharistic celebration at 9 a.m. officiated by Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto, the parish priest. The children actively participated by taking the lead in the church choir and liturgy. 

Following this, the second part of the programme was held in St Sebastian College Hall. The programme commenced with a prayer song. Rev Fr Cyprian Pinto, presided over the programme along with the Asst Parish Priest Fr. Johnson Pereira, Vice President of the Parish Council, Mr Arun Dsouza, Secretary Mrs. Jyothi Dsouza, Superior Of Bethel Convent Sr. Joseph Mary, Superior of Nirmala Convent Sr. Alphonsa, Superior of Aloysian Girls Hostels Sr. Ezilda SRA, Catechism Ayog Co-ordinator Mrs. Demcy Cynthia Dsouza and Mrs. Jacintha Veigas, Catechism coordinator, the dignitaries on the dais. A gracious and cheerful welcome was accorded to all the dignitaries by Mrs Sunitha Dsouza. Prizes were distributed to the students for their good performance and their attendance during the year. 

Catechism teachers were appreciated for their service and were given a gift as a token of love. Students from different classes performed value-based programmes for the audience. Mrs Babitha DSouza proposed a vote of thanks. Towards the end, snacks and ice cream were served to all..
