CYBER CRIME AWARENESS

By Ullal Police

March 01, 2026 : A Cyber Crime Awareness Program was conducted in our Church with the guidance of the Cyber Crime Police Station Ullal. The police officer addressed the gathering and explained the increasing cases of online fraud and cyber crimes.

During the session, the officer explained common cyber crimes such as fake bank calls asking for OTP and ATM details, UPI and QR code scams, online job and lottery frauds, social media account hacking, and identity theft using Aadhaar and PAN information.

The community members were advised not to share OTP, PIN, passwords, or bank details with anyone. They were instructed not to click on unknown links or download suspicious applications. The officer also emphasized using strong passwords and enabling two-step verification for all online accounts.

In case of any cyber fraud, the public was instructed to immediately call 1930, the national cyber crime helpline, and file a complaint through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or contact the nearest police station.

The program created good awareness among the people and encouraged everyone to stay alert and cautious while using digital services.
