Society of St Vincent De Paul Annual Feast - 2024

On 29 Sep 2024, our Parishioners came together to commemorate the feast day of St Vincent De Paul (SSVP), the patron saint of charitable works. The SSVP organized a special event to honor his legacy and reaffirm our commitment to serving the poor and vulnerable.
The day began with a solemn mass, led by the Parish Priest V. Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto, emphasizing St. Vincent and Fredrick Ozanam’s life and teachings, selfless devotion to the poor and highlighting the importance of compassion and service.
Following Mass, a stage program commenced with a delicious breakfast, fostering fellowship among attendees. The President of the event and the Parish Priest V. Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto, Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Johnson Denzil Pereira, Bethel Convent Superior Sr Joseph Mary, Parish Pastoral Council - Vice President Mr. Arun Dsouza, Secretary Mrs. Jyothi Dsouza & Coordinator of 21 Commissions Mr Dolphy Dsouza were present for the event. Mr.Vincent Appose the President of the conference extended a warm welcome to the guests and gathering present for the event.
A detailed financial report was presented by Mr. Maxim Dsouza (Treasurer) and Annual reports were shared by Mrs. GracyMolly Dsouza (Secreatry)& Ms. LishalFerrao (Secretary – Youth Wing) ensuring transparency and accountability. The Parish Priest and the President of the event V. Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting SSVP’s achievements, challenges, and future plans.
A long standing member Mr. Louis Dsouza was recognized and felicitated for his dedication and contributions to SSVP.
The event brought together a total of 125 members, volunteers, and supporters from our parish. The atmosphere was filled with joy, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose.
The St. Vincent de Paul Feast celebration was a resounding success, filled with spiritual nourishment, fellowship, and rejuvenated commitment to serving others. We remain dedicated to emulating St. Vincent’s example, striving to make a positive impact in our community.Mr. AnnishFernandes compered the event while the Vote of Thanks was delivered by SSVP Youth President Ms. Dencita Merlyn Dsouza.
SSVP Youth BONUS BONANZA 2024

The Society of St Vincent De Paul Youth conference Permannur organized ‘BONUS BONANZA’ – Inter Ward Ultimate Indoor Games Showdown in association with Commission for Youth on September 22, 2024 at 2:00pm at St Sebastian Auditorium I, Permannur. This competition was organized to mark the 25th anniversary of SSVP Youth Permannur that will be celebrated in the month of December.
The event was officiated by Mr Hariprasad, Physical Director at Padua Degree College. 12 teams comprising of 72 members participated in the event. The games were well-attended and enjoyed by both participants and spectators. Organizers ensured smooth conduct and adherence to rules throughout.
Nithyadhar 1stward bagged the first place while Fathima 1st secured second place and Cocess ward won the third place. Trophies & cash prizes were awarded to the winners during the valedictory function by the guests present.
The President of the event and the Parish Priest V. Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto, Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Johnson Denzil Pereira, Parish Pastoral Council Vice PresidentMr. Arun Dsouza, Commission for Youth Conveyor Mr Rudolph Dsouza, SSVP Permannur President Mr Vincent Appose were present for the event. In his presidential speech, the Parish Priest commended the youth for their exceptional dedication in organizing events that unite both ward members and parishioners. He praised their creativity and energy, noting how their efforts have fostered a deeper sense of community and belonging. The Priest acknowledged the vibrant spirit of the youth association, highlighting how their initiatives not only engage people but also inspire others to participate in parish life.
During the gathering, a small felicitation ceremony was held to honor Mr. Ajay Tellis and Ms. Suvita Dsouza, who are preparing to embark on their future studies abroad. The Parish Priest presented them with tokens of gratitude, acknowledging their contributions to the parish community
The event was successfully organised by 22 young members of SSVP who put in a lot of work and contributed to its success. Mr. Wishart Dsa and Ms. Vinola Dsouza compered the event while the Vote of Thanks was delivered by SSVP Youth President Ms. Dencita Merlyn Dsouza.
