BLOOD DONATION AND FREE MEDICAL CHECK-UP CAMP 

04 Oct 2026 :  The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Permannur in association with Catholic Sabha Mangalore  Pradesh, Permannur Unit, Health commission & Youth Commission, Permannur organized a Blood Donation and Free Medical Check-up Camp at St. Sebastian English Medium School Hall, Permannur.

The programme began at 9:00 a.m. with the stage programme. The programme was compered by Rishal, ICYM Secretary, Permannur. The dignitaries and guests Parish council Vice president Mr. Arun Dsouza, Health commission co ordinator Mrs. Anitha rodrigus Ms. Rishal Dsouza from Youth commission and ICYM central, Icym Permannur president Mr. Wilson Tellis , Catholic sabha Permannur president Mr. Melwin C Dsouza and Dr. Arjun Prabhu and Ms. Carolin smitha from Fr mullers hospital were invited onto the stage.

The programme commenced with a prayer song, followed by the inauguration through the lighting of the lamp. Then catholic sabha president Mr. Melwin C Dsouza welcomed all .

Rev. Fr. Jagadish Pinto, Assistant Parish Priest, addressed the gathering and delivered an inspiring speech. This was followed by an informative session by Dr. Prabhu from Father Muller Hospital, who shared valuable information regarding health and medical care.

As a token of appreciation and remembrance, mementos presented to the guests.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Wilson Tellis, President of ICYM Permannur, he  expressed gratitude to all the guests, doctors, volunteers, donors, members and everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.

A dedicated team of expert doctors from four major specialties—General Medicine, Dermatology, Orthopedics, and Ophthalmology—were present, providing free consultations, screenings, and expert medical advice to the attendees.

Alongside the medical check-ups, the blood donation drive received an overwhelming response from public-spirited citizens. A total of 30 community members successfully donated blood.

The local residents expressed their gratitude for the accessible and comprehensive medical care provided under one roof.
