ICYM Permannur Organised the delightful

 'Aqua Splash 5.0' Event

Aug 17 : The ICYM Permannur Unit organised the much-awaited Aqua Splash 5.0 event on 10th August 2025 at St Sebastian School Ground, commencing at 1:00 PM. The programme began with a prayer led by the ICYM members, setting a solemn and joyful tone for the afternoon. Mr. Pramith Dsouza, President of ICYM Permannur, extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and all gathered.

Gracing the dais were Very Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto, Parish Priest of St Sebastian Church Permannur and ICYM Director Permannur; Sr. Jyothika, Superior of Bethal Convent; Sr. Philomena, Headmistress of Holy Angels Higher Primary School; Mr. Arun Dsouza, Vice President of St Sebastian Parish Pastoral Council; Mrs. Jyothi Dsouza, Secretary of St Sebastian Parish Pastoral Council; Ms. Maria, Secretary of ICYM Mangalore Diocese; Mr. Royston Dsouza, Amcho Yuvak Representative; Ms. Rishal Dsouza, President of St Joseph Mangalore South Deanery; Mr. Jaison Dsouza, Regional Representative; Mr. Pramith Dsouza, President of ICYM Permannur; Ms. Preemal Dsouza, Secretary of ICYM Permannur; and Animators Mr. Rayan Dsouza and Mr. Deril Dsouza.

The event was inaugurated with the unveiling of the Aqua Splash 5.0 banner by Very Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto, marking the official commencement of the water games. In his address, Fr. Cyprian Pinto emphasised the importance of youth unity, teamwork, and active involvement in parish initiatives as a way to strengthen community bonds.

Following the inauguration, the grounds came alive with a series of vibrant and competitive inter-ward water games. The afternoon was filled with laughter, cheers, and spirited performances, as participants showcased their energy, creativity, and teamwork. After a thrilling set of competitions, Cocess Ward emerged as the Champions of Aqua Splash 5.0, lifting the overall trophy and bringing pride to their ward. The event successfully brought together parishioners of all ages, creating a joyful atmosphere of camaraderie and fellowship.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Preemal Dsouza, Secretary of ICYM Permannur, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, sponsors, and volunteers for their invaluable contribution to the success of Aqua Splash 5.0. The event was ably compered by Ms. Nishmitha Dsouza.
