Thanksgiving Program and Release of Souvenir Book

24 May 2026 : A heartfelt thanksgiving program was conducted at St. Sebastian Church Permannur in honor of Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto for his dedicated and selfless service to the parish community. The program was organized under the leadership of Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Mewyn Dsouza along with the Parish Pastoral Council and parish committee members.

The gathering began with prayers and words of gratitude for the valuable service rendered by Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto during his tenure at the parish. Parishioners expressed their appreciation for his spiritual guidance, leadership, and contributions towards the growth and development of the church and parish community.

Mr. Arun Dsouza, Vice President of the church, welcomed the gathering and expressed gratitude to Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto for his sincere and dedicated service to the parish. He appreciated the priest’s commitment towards the spiritual growth and unity of the parish community.

On the occasion, a souvenir book released, highlighting the various works and achievements of Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto during his service at the parish was released. The book featured details about the spiritual, social, and developmental activities undertaken under his leadership, along with memorable moments and photographs from his tenure at the church. The souvenir served as a token of gratitude and remembrance from the parish community for his dedicated service and commitment towards the welfare of the church and parishioners.

The honouring letter was read by Mrs. Jyothi Dsouza, Secretary of the church, highlighting the valuable contributions and achievements of Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto during his tenure. The letter expressed the love, respect, and gratitude of the entire parish community towards the priest for his dedicated pastoral ministry and service. The honouring letter was later handed over to Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto as a mark of appreciation and gratitude from the parish community.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Mewyn Dsouza thanked Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto for his commitment, dedication, and pastoral care shown towards all parishioners. He highlighted the priest’s sincere efforts in strengthening the faith life of the community and encouraging unity among the faithful.

Members of the parish committee also shared their gratitude and best wishes, recalling the memorable moments and achievements during his service at the parish. They wished him good health, happiness, and God’s abundant blessings in his future mission and responsibilities.

Responding to the felicitation, Rev. Fr. Cyprian Pinto expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the assistant parish priest, parish committee, and all parishioners for their love, cooperation, and support throughout his tenure. He thanked everyone for standing with him in all the activities and initiatives of the parish and asked for continued prayers in his future ministry.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Dolphy DSouza, All Church Commission Coordinator , who thanked everyone who contributed to the successful organization of the thanksgiving gathering and felicitation program.

The thanksgiving gathering was attended by parishioners, devotees, church leaders, and well-wishers, making the occasion emotional and memorable. The program concluded with fellowship, followed by refreshments served to all those present
